Electrotherapy
|
When it comes to applying electrotherapy, the type of equipment is actually the most important, besides making the correct diagnosis. That is why this practice has invested in equipment that sets the bench-mark. Physiomed a German Engineered and built machine sets this therapy apart from other similar machines.

"PHYSIOMED distances itself firmly from a trend of compromising therapeutic success only for the sake of maximising profits. PHYSIOMED instruments therefore only supply ‘clean’ currents. This also explains the often heard opinion of competent electrotherapy users, that despite using the same parameters, they obtain better therapeutic results with PHYSIOMED instruments than with other stimulation current instruments."
Common uses in the practice
Chronic Sinusitis. Pulsed ultrasound has recently been proven to break down bacterial biofilms which protects the bacteria and provides a form of adhesion to sinus membranes.
Overactive Bladder. Many people suffer from an overactive bladder muscle, meaning you need to urinate more then 8 times during the day or more than once during night time. Electrical currents overs a solution.
Facial Neuralgia. Damage to nerves can cause severe pain, numbness, tingling, or burning. Trigeminal neuralgia is an exceptionally painful and limiting condition. Proper diagnoses and treatments help relieve the offending cause of nerve damage and therapies like, electrotherapy can help speed nerve healing and repair.
Facial Paralysis. Damage to the 7th cranial nerve due to a viral infection leads to paralysis on one side of the face, referred to as Bell's Palsy.
Pelvic Floor Muscle Stimulations. Gentle clean electrical currents can be used very effectively to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles responsible for stability and bladder and bowel control.
